Top Tip Tuesday is here! Smartsheet’s Copy Folder process has been updated. If you’ve ever duplicated a project folder, or even a full workspace, in Smartsheet only to realise your row automation didn\u2019t update correctly, you\u2019re not alone.
Until recently, automations like \u201cmove row\u201d or \u201ccopy row\u201d would still reference the original sheets, not the new ones, likewise report sources, dashboard widgets, sheet hyperlinks and cell links too, causing a lot of manual reconfiguration.
But, thanks to Smartsheet’s recent release, this is now fixed. 🙌
When you copy a folder or workspace, any “move row” or “copy row” automations inside it will automatically rewire to point to the corresponding new sheets, not the old ones as well as report sources updating, dashboard widgets updating, cell and sheet links updating to the newly created sheets. Awesome!
